Stromboli II, Markus Eisenring and Bruno Landolt

The Stromboli II team participated very successfully at the WAVE 2013.

.

By participating at the WAVE 2013 the Stromboli team aimed to draw attention to the excellent characteristics of the vehicle Stromboli II and to demonstrate that renewable energy and electric vehicles provide an ecologically appropriate contribution to a clean and safe future.

Also attention was drawn to the extensive know-how of Eisenring Engineering concerning design, layout, conception and efficiency of electric vehicles, and concerning batteries and battery management systems.

The aim was that the vehicle Stromboli II shall be equipped with further improved and better batteries, giving a range per charge of 1’000 km. To this end Eisenring Engineering seeks collaboration with other companies and with sponsors.

The World’s greatest rally of electrical vehicles, the WAVE 2013, started on the 28^th June at Eichgraben near Vienna, with 40 participating vehicles and teams from all over the world. The WAVE lead through the most thrilling landscapes across the alps and arrived in Zurich after 10 days. After a prologue through the City of Vienna it continued with a loop via Hungary further Southwards to Klagenfurt and then through the Alps towards Zürich in time to land at the “Zürifäscht”, one of the greatest festivals of Switzerland. Here the WAVE-vehicles will joined in the World-Championship trial for the biggest parade of E-vehicles.
